In my youth, the family farm was a market garden. I spent long summer days working the fields, loving almost every minute of it.
Though work and raising three daughters took me away from the farm, I maintained a love of nature and gardening. My journey with flowers began in 2019 with my daughter Caitlin's wedding, when I offered to grow her center piece flowers.
From there, my passion for growing cut flowers began and continues to flourish each year.
As a physician working with people to optimize their health and wellbeing, I am reminded of the importance of nurturing the mind, body, spirit connection. As a farmer I am reminded daily of the power of nature to support those connections.
Growing flowers for people brings me great joy. My greatest joy, however, is in sharing the farm with others and providing people the opportunity to connect with themselves, friends and family, community and nature.

Daisy and Bird is owned and operated by a mother daughter duo. It is one of my great joys
being able to connect with my daughter Caitlin in offering floral services and the farm to our community.
In addition to her wedding design work, Caitlin is often hard at work in the fields during the busy planting season and fall clean up.
She loves to help with flower tours and directing guests to the raspberry patch. It is always a joy
to have her join me at the farm with her enthusiasm and smiles!
Our Values
01
We strive to operate in a way that supports the natural habitat of our farm. This includes regenerative soil management, preservation of water, and chemical-
free farming practices. We are always exploring new ways to develop our sustainable practices including no-till areas on the property, the use of recycled materials for farm
projects, and the creation of biochar for soil fertility.
Our Values
02
Our goal is to support and bring beauty to our local community. Each summer we donate land to local family
farmers. We donate u-pick flower tickets to
fundraising events and gift bouquets to nursing and transition home residents, ER staff and others who may need their spirits raised.

The flower field is all about connection. It is a joy to see such a variety of groups who connect in the patch - friends, clubs, coworkers, couples, families, and
multiple generations. Once in the field it is amazing to witness the often unexpected joy
people experience in connecting with nature.
