I recently had the pleasure of working on a styled mini shoot with one of my longtime collaborators, Betheny Allen Photography. I was obsessed with her idea of creating a spring meadow floral installation for her spring minis. The concept was simple yet captivating. Floral pieces that seemed to grow naturally out of the ground, creating a wildflower wonderland that fit perfectly with Betheny’s light and airy photography style.
Betheny has always been open to letting me play with color and creativity, which allowed me to embrace the wildness of this meadow design. The blend of blooms and natural textures we used felt alive, organic, and in complete harmony with the surrounding environment. Her photos captured the florals so beautifully.
One of the most amazing things about working with Betheny is the trust she puts in me. This has given me such confidence as I have grown in my style as a florist. It’s crazy to think that one of my first-ever styled shoots was with her 4 years ago, and she’s still trusting me with her floral designs. Last year, Betheny was a huge supporter of the flower farm and I consider her a true friend in the business.
I also had the chance to work alongside Payton from Payton’s Place Designs as a floral assistant on this shoot. Payton is such a joy to work with! It’s always a wonderful experience to team up with other creatives who share the same passion for beauty and design.
This spring meadow floral styled shoot truly felt like a dream come true! I hope you love the florals as much as I do! Stay tuned for more updates on our future collaborations. There’s always something exciting on the horizon. I love to make wedding floral dreams come true! Reach out to us here and let’s kick things off!
